Atlantic High School Girls Basketball hosted the Pine Ridge Panthers on January 9, 2021 in Port Orange, FL. The home team Atlantic Sharks dominated throughout, led by senior guard Kiana Bean who had 20 points, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Sophomore point guard Tristen O'Berry added 11 points, 2 assists, and 3 steals.

Matanzas boys basketball hosted Atlantic High School Tuesday night.  Matanzas started the game evenly matched with visiting team Atlantic High School, but quickly found themselves slightly trailing behind over the course of the game. The Pirates lost 44-34 on Dec.

Atlantic's playoff magic didn't carry over this week.   Atlantic scored a playoff stunner last week, defeating Lake Weir in overtime for their first win of 2020.   Unfortunately, the Sharks (1-6) didn't have any more magic on Friday, losing to Clay, 35-0, in a game that got out of hand early.

Spruce Creek and Flagler Palm Coast, 2 of the area's perennial powers, produced 2 selections apiece for The Daytona Beach News-Journal's Super 7 team. Six of the players from The Daytona Beach News-Journal's Super 7 girls basketball selections of a year ago have graduated and joined Division I programs. That leaves plenty of opportunity for new stars to emerge in 2020-21.
