Today’s sports hiatus Flashback Game of the Day features Seminole (Sanford) HS Baseball @ Spruce Creek on 3/12/2020. These were two top-ranked Central Florida teams, both had winning records, Seminole was 7-1, whie Spruce Creek was undefeated at 8-0 and was a favorite to win the FHSAA Class 8A title.
The Spruce Creek Hawks got off to a hot start scoring 3 runs in the first inning and adding 2 more runs in the second.

Today’s flashback GAME OF THE DAY features the Seminole Girls Basketball Team from Sanford @ Spruce Creek in Port Orange, FL on 2/7/2020. This game was the Florida High School Class 7A District 2 Final. The Hawks were led by Senior Peryonna Sylvester who scored 19 points in the game on 47% shooting.

Today’s high school sports hiatus Game of the Day features the Spruce Creek Boys Volleyball team hosting Seminole High School on March 3, 2020 in Port Orange, Florida. Spruce Creek won the first set 25-23, but Seminole came back with great ball handling from junior Kevin Aranda who had 26 assists, great serve receiving from sophomore Dimitri Simeonidis, and solid play from the rest of the team. Seminole won the next 3 sets and the match 3-1.

The four Orlando area teams that qualified for the FHSAA boys basketball 2020 state tournament are Oak Ridge and Seminole in Class 7A, Lake Highland Prep in 4A, and Orlando Christian Prep in 2A.
