The Green Wave washed away the Sandcrabs in 3 tight sets on the road. Both teams kept it close and went into the high 20s in each set, but the Green Wave edged out the Sandcrabs each time by winning 25-23, 27-25, and 25-20, respectively.
The Sandcrabs kept the match close in all 3 sets in a fierce battle at the net.

The Seabreeze Sandcrabs’ varsity football team walked away with a 14-7 loss and an injured quarterback after facing the Westside Wolverines Thursday, May 20 at the Daytona Municipal Stadium.
Quarterback Blake Boda’s first quarter injury forced Seabreeze’s head coach Pat Brown to reassess his game strategy. After conferring with his coaches, the choice was clear: All-Area safety senior Dimitri Campbell stepped in and became Boda’s immediate replacement.

The Seabreeze Sandcrabs’ baseball team won 5-2 against the Mainland Buccaneers on Monday, April 26, in the District 4-5A Tournament at the Ormond Beach Sports Complex.

Volusia County middle school and high school student-athletes will be offered free electrocardiogram (ECG) screenings for the first time this summer in addition to the annual state-required sports physical.
Sudden cardiac arrest is one of the leading causes of death among high school athletes, with an estimate of 1 in 300 student-athletes having an undetected heart condition that puts them at risk.
The goal of the screenings, approved Tuesday by the Volusia County School Board in partnership with AdventHealth, is early detection and treatment of heart abnormalities.

The Seabreeze Sandcrabs’ softball team and the Mainland Buccaneers went cleat-to-cleat on the diamond for 10 innings, Thursday April 1, leaving Seabreeze with the only run on the scoreboard.
Mainland pitcher Bella Dejulio and the Buccaneer infield got the ball rolling top of the first inning with an out by Leah Coffing at first base, a strikeout and a pop fly caught by Dejulio. Seabreeze pitcher Julie Kelly responded with three strikeouts in the bottom of the first.
