Unless an enormous wrench is thrown into the Florida High School Athletic Association’s RPI rankings ahead of Sunday morning’s reveal, it won’t be.

Marvin Scott III rushed for 266 yards and three touchdowns for the seventh-seeded Hawks, who were lined up Tuesday to meet St. Johns Bartram Trail. That could change, of course, but Spruce Creek (6-3) knows it will start its third postseason appearance in four years on the road.

“It’s pretty amazing for us. This program, people thought for a long time that we’re not ‘this’ or ‘that.’ To be in the playoffs three out of four years, it establishes the fact that we’re a solid program in the state florida, especially in our area here,” Hawks coach Andy Price said.
