This week’s Flashback Friday Football features the Creekside Knights conquering the Nease Panthers in a 17-31 solid win. Leading the rush to victory was Creekside Junior Preston Strope who rushed for 215 yards on 25 carries and pushed in 3 of the Knights’ 4 touchdowns. Creekside’s Junior QB Daniel Plummer tacked on a touchdown of his own completing 11 of 20 passes for 91 yards. Panthers’ kicker Canaan Kimball knocked through a 28-yard field goal in the second quarter for Nease giving them their only points of the first half. Down 24-3 going into the fourth quarter, the Panthers attempted to prowl their way back into the hunt with 2 late touchdowns from Juniors Dom Henry and Taliek Golphin. Riding the steed of a strong lead, the Creekside Knights crusaded to victory 31-17 and would go on to face Atlantic Coast the following week.
